Work with us

We'd rather work with a process
expert than a coder.

The hard part of automating a business process has never been the software. It is understanding how the work actually gets done — who decides what, where it stalls, and which steps exist only because someone left in 2014. If you know that, we can teach you the rest.

Two ways in

Engagement models

Both are independent, non-employee, non-exclusive arrangements, and neither includes equity or any ownership interest. Which fits depends on whether you want paid work now or a share of what you help build over time.

Track one

Independent contractor

Engaged per project, under a written scope, for an agreed fee. You set your own price, take the work you want and decline the work you don't.

  • Paid per engagement against defined deliverables
  • You control your hours, methods and other clients
  • Platform certification through our pilot partner programme, once there's a fit
  • Suits people already consulting who want an additional line of work
Track two

Revenue-share contractor

A longer-term arrangement for people who want to help build the practice rather than service it — and to share in what they help create.

  • Revenue share on engagements you help deliver or originate
  • Full platform certification, and early sight of new capability as it ships
  • Terms are agreed individually and set out in writing before any work begins
  • Suits people who want to grow something, and can take a longer view on reward
Where we are honest We are a principal-led practice, not a firm with a payroll. Neither track is employment, neither comes with a guaranteed volume of work, and we would rather tell you that now than after you have invested time. The first step costs you a conversation and nothing else. If you need predictable income this month, track one on an active engagement is the only honest answer — and we will say so if there isn't one.
The person we're looking for

Process literacy beats technical depth.

What matters

  • You have run or fixed a real process — operations, finance, HR, claims, procurement, clinical, logistics. Any domain where work moves between people.
  • You can interview people about their work and hear what they actually do rather than what the procedure says.
  • You are comfortable saying a step should be deleted — including to the person who created it.
  • You write clearly. A process you cannot describe is a process you cannot automate.

What doesn't

  • Writing code. The SkAI engine is configured, not programmed. If you can build a spreadsheet with rules in it, you can build a workflow.
  • Certifications. We are not going to ask for any, and you should be skeptical of firms that do.
  • A consulting background. Some of the best process people have never been consultants — they simply ran the thing.
  • Where you live — within limits. The work is remote and we engage across the US and internationally, but not in every jurisdiction: some states and countries restrict how independent contractors can be engaged, and we will tell you straight away if yours is one of them.
How it goes

Three steps, no ritual.

  1. Write to us. Tell us about a process you have personally improved — what was broken, what you changed, what happened. One page is plenty. A CV is optional and secondary.
  2. A screening conversation. Roughly an hour, and it runs both ways. Mostly you talking us through that process. Us being honest about where the practice actually is, and showing you what our pilot partner programme involves — the platform, the phases, and what a partner actually does. No commitment on either side.
  3. If there's a fit, terms in writing before any work begins — scope, fee or share, and the classification spelled out. Nobody starts on a handshake.
